About Me

David Martin is the CEO of Miami-based real estate firm Terra. As Terra CEO, Martin has assembled a $5 billion residential and commercial real estate portfolio.

David Martin and Terra invest in single-family homes, luxury condos, multifamily apartments, hotels, offices, retail, and industrial properties. Martin oversees design, development, marketing, financing, construction, leasing, and sales.

Under Martin's leadership, Terra has received widespread recognition for its commitment to sustainable development, resilience, and design excellence.

David Martin has built high-performance, multidisciplinary teams of planners, designers, architects, builders, and engineers since 2001. Ruben and Isabel Toledo, Rene Gonzalez, William Sofield, Gabellini Sheppard, Rem Koolhaas/OMA, Daniel Buren, Chad Oppenheim, Bjarke Ingels, Renzo Piano, RDAI, Chef Michael Schwartz, West 8, Meyer Davis Studio, and more are on Martin's team-building resume.

David Martin, a native Floridian, is committed to sustainability. Martin and the Terra team incorporate resilient construction, transit connectivity, renewable energy, and green space whenever possible.

Martin is active in several groups and boards. Martin is a member of Miami-Dade County's Biscayne Bay Task Force, the Sea Level Rise Committee, and The Underline's Neighborhoods Committee (a 10-mile linear park project currently under construction).

David Martin and Terra are dedicated to South Florida. The company's longtime involvement in philanthropic, arts and civic organizations includes the YoungArts Foundation, the Freedom Tower, PAMM, Wolfsonian-FIU, Vizcaya Museums and Gardens, and the Miami Children's Health Foundation (which benefits Nicklaus Children's Hospital).

Martin earned his undergraduate, MBA, and law degrees from UF. He's on the UF Business School's board. Martin is married and has two children in Miami Beach.
